Slow Art Sundays offer a chance to take time and look slowly at a selection of works from our art collection, helping people discover the joy of appreciating and loving art.

Join us on the first Sunday of every month for Slow Art Sunday, an opportunity to explore our art collections in more detail. Explore the influences and inspirations that contributed to the artwork, and find out our guide's favourite pieces! Feel free to sketch or bring your own interpretations as our guides bring the artwork to life.

The next Slow Art Sunday will take place on Sunday 4th January, focusing on The Patron (Festival of St. Kevin at the Seven Churches, Glendalough) by Joseph Peacock from 1813. Join us in the Renaissance to Romanticism exhibition in Art Gallery 2 at 14:00 on Sunday 4th January, to learn about the history and themes in this artwork.
